According to her husband's Revolutionary War Pension record, she resided in Alford, Berkshire, MA prior to her marriage. She applied for a Widow's pension on September 30, 1844, stating that she lived in Broome, Schoharie, NY at that time.
1850 Federal Census reported that she was 84 years of age, born about 1766 in MA. She was residing in the household of her son Elijah Crippen and his wife Abigail and family.
12 CRIPPEN children: Amos (1785-1847); David (1787-1870); Hannah (1789-?); Abigail (1790-1869); Elizabeth (1793-1877); Daniel, Rev. (1794-1876); Elijah (1796-1875); Mary (1797-?); Rhoda (1800-1885); Anna (1802-?); Ruby (1803-?); and Ichabod W. (1807-1881).
