Esther Elois "Granny" Gwilliams Begley, 81, of Vinton, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 8, 2011. She died peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was very much loved and will be missed beyond words. She never turned away a child, no matter how many were left in her loving care. She was an Angel that God blessed us with for too short of a time. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Conrad Begley; son, Curtis Begley; daughter, Colleen Call; son-in-law, David Call; mother and father, Lucy and Joseph Gwilliams; three brothers; and five sisters. She leaves behind her children, Charles, Charlotte, Connie and Carolyn Begley and Cindy L. and Eddie Baker; seven grandchildren, Casey and Cindy M. Baker, Curtis A. Begley, Adam Begley, Christon Begley, Alyssa Spangle and Angel and David Sisson; great-grandson, Davy Sisson, and another on the way; many more whom she claimed as hers; a very special sister, Polly Beckner; and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved and thought of often. The Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with the Rev. Elmo McLaurin officiating. Burial will follow at Joseph H. Gwilliams Cemetery in Franklin County. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2011, at the chapel. May you rest in God's loving arms till we are all together again. We love you always, forever, through eternity and beyond, no matter what.
Later, your loving family.
