Mrs. Clarice Elizabeth (Lee) Thompson, age 80 of 10 Woodridge Drive, Bowdon, Georgia, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007 in Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton.
She was born in Carroll County, Georgia, August 24, 1926, the daughter of the late Miley and Martha (King) Lee. She was a member of Bowdon Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Sony.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sons, Gearold Thompson and Dennis Thompson, a daughter, Lisa Thompson, a brother, Merlin Lee, and a sister, Christine Roberts.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy (Melinda) Thompson of Newnan, GA, four daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Lee (Danny) Barker of Eufaula, AL, Sandra (Ricky) Hammond of Bowdon, GA, Martha (Gary) Dickerson of Dahlonega, GA, and Cheryl (Donald) Kaylor of Bowdon, GA.; 13 Grandchildren and 21 Great-grandchildren, a sister, Louise Presnal of Bowdon, GA.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 15, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. from Bowdon Baptist Church with Dr. Rob Huggins and Rev. Gearold Thompson, Jr. officiating. Grandson will serve as pallbearers: Dwight Barker, Derrick Barker, Dale Barker, Gearold Thompson, Jr., Brian Hammond, Adam Fleming, Jason Stephens and Jed Kaylor. Interment services will follow in the Tallapoosa Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery on Carrollton-Tyus Road. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, March 14, 2007 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
