Ann (Jutson) New
(February 11, 1922 - May 1, 2011)

Ann (Jutson) New, of Groesbeck, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011, at the Groesbeck LTC, at age 89.
Graveside services will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at New Hope Cemetery, with Sam Walton officiating.

Ann was born February 11, 1922 to Clauson Jutson and Pearl (Lummus) Jutson at Lost Prairie. She grew up at Lost Prairie in a large family of ten children, and she helped in raising the siblings.

Ann married Elmer Russel New on June 22, 1945 at Houston, and they traveled for many years with his work in the oil fields. In 1955, they settled in Groesbeck. She worked as a machine operator/winder at the cotton mill that made thread in Mexia, for about seventeen years.

Ann had resided at Groesbeck LTC for the past seven and one-half years, where her number one past-time was Bingo. She also enjoyed the dice games, playing 42, and trips to Walmart. She especially did not want to miss the monthly trips to the Coffee's at Lake Limestone, which she thoroughly enjoyed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; seven of her brothers and sisters; and her husband Elmer in 2007.

She is survived by a brother, Jack Jutson of Nicaragua, and a sister, Doris Webster of Thornton, and many nieces and nephews.
