Doris worked at Groesbeck ISD in the kitchen at the elementary and then worked at the Mexia State School until she retired. But then she went back to work for the Groesbeck school system as the adult rider on the handicap bus. Doris spent some of her later years helping families of elderly or sick people by sitting with them and driving them around, which enabled the family to work and gave them great appreciation for Doris. She was a person who was always interested in everyone, and as her eyesite was failing she was left with only the telephone to keep in touch.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Paul; grandson, Jayson Webster (who she had adopted); daughter, Polly Hardgrave; and all nine of her brothers and sisters: Esther Lambright, Arlan Jutson and Arvan Jutson (twins who died as infants one year apart), Altha Walton, Ann New, Jack Jutson, Doris's twin brother Norris "Jutt" Jutson, Dale Thornton, and Carl Ray "Bo" Jutson.

She is survived by her son, Norris Webster of Thornton and two daughters and grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, cousins and other extended family.
