For many years the old Scott Cemetery in Weiner has been know as the Moyers Cemetery. The Hamilton Scott family donated the land for the cemetery and Nannie Scott, daughter of Hamilton, inherited the land which included the cemetery. She married W.R. Moyer and through the years the cemetery became known as the Moyers Cemetery.
There are only five stones in the cemetery today, but years ago there were many stones and also an iron fence.

DIRECTIONS. The Scott Cemetery is located on School Street. From Highway 49 take West Third Street to the Weiner High School Gymnasium, turn right and drive north .25 mile or so and the cemetery is on the right, just south of Charles Cooper's home.

**Nannie Scott was the daughter of Hamilton Scott, Jr. and Fannie REASER/REESOR. Given that Hamilton Scott, Jr. died so young, I have to wonder if it wasn't Hamilton, Sr.'s land that was donated for the cemetery but it could have been either.
