Thomas 'Elbert' Weir was one of three sons of Thomas Jefferson Weir & Jennie A. Wilhite Weir. He married Elma Lucille Salmon. Elbert had two brothers Claude Arnold and Earl Boyd Weir, and one sister Bertha Edith Weir Rundell. Thomas remarried after his first wife passed away. On December 27, 1962, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma he married Eva 'Marie" Balyeat, nee Peacock.He spent his entire life in Stafford where he was a farmer. Elbert's home, his family and his church filled his life. He was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church, first at Eureka and later transferring to the Methodist Church at Stafford. His boyhood friends remember him as an outstanding baseball player and would find him frequently on the lot. His athletic interest in later years turned to bowling where he found many hours of enjoyment.
