Mrs. Leona Azwell Killed When Car Leaves Highway

IndianolaMrs. Leona Azwell , 45, of Belzoni was killed Sunday afternoon when
the automobile she was driving overturned at a sharp curve on Highway 49 W near
Sunflower.
Mrs. Azwell's body was found in the wreckage of her automobile about 5 p.m. by a
passerby. She was enroute to Cleveland when the crash occurred.
Mrs. Azwell had made her home in Belzoni for a number of years. She was owner
and operator of the Rebecca Hotel.
She leaves a son, Sam Azwell, Jr., two sisters, Mrs. O. Blackwood and Mrs. T.S.
Abernathy, and a brother
W.T. Wade.
Funeral Services will be held Monday Afternoon at 4 o'clock at Bain's Funeral
Home in Belzoni.
