John F. Adams
Kent, Wash---John F. "Frank" Adams, 71, died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 25, 1992. He had been a resident here since moving from Kansas in l941.
He was born March 31, 1920, at Galesburg, and was a 1939 graduate of Chanute High School. A refrigeration engineer, he retired in 1983.
He served in the United State Army during World War II and received the Bronze Star.
He was a member of the Kent First Baptist Church, past noble grand of Titusville Lodge #34, IOOF, past commander and life member of Kent American Legion Post #15, Operating Engineers Local #286 at Seattle, Adins Rebekah Lodge #27, Kent; Odd Fellows Travel Club; Kent Encampment #15 and a volunteer at the Seattle VA hospital gift shop.
Survivors [edited for privacy] and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Jean Adams on Feb. 8, 1990, three brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral is 2 p.m. Monday at the Kent First Baptist Church under the direction of Edline-Yahn Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Hillcrest Burial Park.
Memorials may be made to the church or the American Heart Association
