Jimmy Frank Hicks, 71 of Clyde, died Friday, May 4, 2007 at a Clyde care center.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Ed Hicks officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Tuesday.
Jim was born February 15, 1936 in Clyde to Robert and Ellen (Cook) Hicks. He grew up and graduated from Clyde High School in 1954. He also graduated from Cisco Junior College. He worked for El Paso Natural Gas in El Paso as a computer programmer, returning to Clyde in 1971. Jim was very active in the First Baptist Church of Clyde where he was a member of Dr. Lloyd Huff's Sunday School class.
He is survived by a daughter, Sandra Kay Turner and husband Clark of Big Lake; one son, Robert Edward Hicks and wife Robin of Hurricane, West VA; two brothers, Harold Hicks and wife Rhonda of Clyde and J. B. Hicks of Ft. Worth; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
