Born Feb. 2, 1919, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Cyrus Grover and Annie Barbara Eckstine Brandenburg.
He retired from Mack Trucks in 1979; and worked part-time as a bus driver for the Senior Citizens of Hagerstown.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army as a master sergeant.
He was a Protestant.
He was a member of Moose Lodge 2435.
He is survived by his wife of 83 years, Margaretta E. Keller Brandenburg; one sister, Freeda Johns of Leitersburg; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys Longanecker and Kathryn M. Swope; and two brothers, Kenneth L. Brandenburg and Reno Brandenburg.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Bast Funeral Home, Boonsboro. The Rev. Malcolm R. Stranathan will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
