Mrs. Alice Hicks of Barton County, started to come to this city for her health.
When she got as far as W T Fipps place, she was taken worse & died May 16th.
Her corpse was interred in the Mineral Springs cemetery Thursday.
She leaves 4 small children, father, 3 brothers & 2 sisters to mourn her loss.
Her husband died about 2 months ago.

Family information has her death as the 15 & she is buried next to her mother. Fipps place, was her Aunt Mary Jeffers home.
Due to his health their Grpa Hoover was unable to take in Alice's children. Her 3 daughters were raised by different families.
Hoover started w/the Beatty family, but as soon as Albert & Laura married was w/them & Andy Carterman. He never lived too far away.
All her children were close to their Grpa Hoover.
