"Died - Griffith - Of consumption, August 3, 1887, at Asherville, Kansas, Mrs. Belle Griffith.
Sister Griffith was born in Christian county, Illinois, March 1, 1861, Moved to Washington county, Kansas, in the fall of 1871. Was married March 3, 1881, to Mr. A.M. Griffith, Moved to Mitchell county in February, 1884. United with the Baptist church in Asherville in February, 1887.
Her death was triumphant. Almost her last words were, "All is well. Praise the Lord, I'm going home."
She leaves her husband and little girl five years old to mourn her loss. May the Lord sustain them in this sore bereavement. They have the warm sympathy of many friends in Asherville."
