DEATH OF JAMES BYRON.
James Byron of St. Mary township, passed away at the St. Joseph's Hospital, Mankato, Saturday morning after an illness of about eleven weeks. The cause of death was erysipelas and blood poison. Previous to the development of the disease he had been in uniformly good health.
The deceased was born in this county sixty-one years ago. He was one of the first, if not the first, male child born in the county. Here he has spent his entire life. He was a hard working farmer, a man of high ideals who exemplified the best traits of manhood at all times, conscientious in every walk of life, in every activity. He enjoyed through all his life the confidence and respect of the public. Passing away almost in the prime of life, his death is the source of sorrow and regret to a large circle of acquaintances and friends. He is survived by his widow and five sons; William, Arthur, Walter, who is attending the St. Paul seminary, St. Paul, Robert and Raymond, all of whom reside at home on the farm. Three sisters and one brother also survive him: Mrs. John Cahill and the Misses Bridget and Mary Byron, of Waseca, and Mr. John Byron of this place. He was a brother-in-law of Wm. R. Cahill and T. E. Cahill of this place.
The funeral was conducted yesterday morning at the St. Mary Catholic Church, of which the deceased was a devout member, Rev. Father Brazil officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the St. Mary Catholic cemetery.
A large concourse of people were in attendance attesting the high regard in which the deceased was held.
We join with the public in tendering the afflicted family and relatives our sincere sympathy.
