Edward was a railroad locomotive engineer with the L&N Railroad. All of the records that I have been able to find, including his headstone, indicate that he was born on 15 Nov 1880 in Oak Hill, Ohio. However, he is in the 1880 census in Ohio conducted on 4 Jun 1880. In this census he is listed as 1 years old, so he must have actually been born in 1879.
Edward married Nannie E. Lovill about 1903 in Whitley County, Kentucky. Together they had 2 children as follows: Mr. Homer LaFon Griffith, and Mr Albert Edmond Griffith. Edward's first wife, Nannie, died on 30 Dec 1912.
Edward later married Georgia D. Jones about 1914 in Whitely County, Kentucky.
This is my great uncle.
