Bennett James Roberts, Jr., the son of Bennett James and Minnie Julia Love Roberts was born and raised in Houston, Harris County, Texas.

Bennett attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated from the University of Texas Law School. He married Elizabeth Barbee Paxton Naylor of Fort Worth, Texas. Bennett and Elizabeth had one son and one wonderful grand daughter.

Bennett had a wonderful career as an attorney in Houston, Texas. He loved his country and served it proudly. Late in life, he married his devoted wife, Evelyn.

A lovely tribute was read at Bennett's funeral:

"All who knew Bennett knew that you could count on him for help in just about everything. If he couldn't help you, he found someone who could. Bennett touched many lives and those memories will remain forever in our hearts. He cared for those he worked with, and he loved his family and friends...."

Bennett died in his home at Surfside, Freeport, Brazoria County, Texas.

Bennett is buried in Davis Greenlawn Cemetery in Rosenberg, Fort Bend County, Texas.
