A native of Rutherford County, he was a retired self employed merchant and a member of Race Path Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Baldwin & Joyce Morehead Baldwin and a grandson, Josh Cole.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Hoppes Baldwin of the home; son, Bradley Baldwin and wife, Lauren of Shelby; daughters, Tammy Curtis and husband, Scott of Rutherfordton Janet Baldwin of Rutherfordton; sisters:, Marsha Turner of Shelby, Sandra Baldwin of Shelby, Ronda McCraw and husband, Phillip of Shelby; grandchildren, Kyle Curtis, Kendall Curtis, Paige Cole; great grandchildren, Addison Downey and Calem Curtis and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Z. B. & Lois Hoppes of Shelby.
