Margie Ann Funderburk, age 85, of Amity, died Thursday, June 2, 2011.

She was born on August 24, 1925, at Pike City, the daughter of William Carl Lockeby and Mertie Alice Cooley Lockeby. On September 18, 1943, she was married to Willie Harrison Funderburk who preceded her in death on September 14, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her son, Alton Wayne Funderburk, Sr.; two brothers, Huey P. Lockeby and Dane Lockeby; one grandson, Brandon Kelley Funderburk; and one granddaughter, Lorie Funderburk.

She was a member of the Culvert Springs Assembly of God Church, enjoyed sewing and working in the yard.

She is survived by her son, Don Wade Funderburk of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; four grandchildren, Wayne Funderburk, Sharyn May, Brody Funderburk and Michael Funderburk; four great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Dean and Leo Smith of Amity; one daughter-in-law, Cindy Funderburk of Amity; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 4, 2011, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Rev. Don Lane officiating.

Visitation will be held Friday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Interment will be in the Hicks Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
