R. E. Ireson, pioneer resident of Stockton, and one of that town's foremost citizens, died at his home there Wednesday evening of last week. Mr. Ireson's death followed a long period of ill health, and he had been home only a few days from a Springfield hospital, where he received treatment. He was 73 years old.
He is survived by his wife, and two married daughters, Mrs. Montgomery and Mrs. Hartley.
Funeral services and burial took place at Stockton Friday.
