Elizabeth was married to William Blackwell (1/13/1797-7/20/1882)on April 17, 1823 in Madison County, Kentucky. William`s parents are believed to be James B. Blackwell(1765-1837)and Elizabeth Woodroof(1762-1808). The Woodroof family can be traced back to Richard in the early 1600`s. It is believed William and Elizabeth came to Missouri from Kentucky not long after their marriage and this paper says 1827. They are buried in the same Bellview Cemetery several miles north of Macon, Missouri where they lived for many years. Elizabeth`s son Thomas Jefferson Blackwell served in the Provisional Enrolled Missouri Militia during the "War Between the States". This was a Federal organization that started in May, 1863. His unit was offically known as Co."C", 1st Regiment Prov. En. Mo. Militia. William and Elizabeth`s known children are;
