Jean Jordan, age 93, of Chesterfield, formerly of Brookfield, died Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at Friendship Village in Chesterfield.
A funeral service will be Saturday, June 4, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery in Brookfield. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday and the family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time.

Memorials to CTEN (Commission to Every Nation, to Pat Hick Memorial Clinic in Nicaragua) may be left at or mailed to Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, PO Box 496, Brookfield, MO 64628.

Jean Ellen, daughter of Henry and Ella (Zart) Ahrens, was born August 26, 1917, in Grinnell, Iowa. On March 8, 1937, she married Lloyd Jordan who preceded her in death July 18, 1974.

Jean was a homemaker and always enjoyed caring for her family. She was an active member of the Trinity United Methodist Church while living in Brookfield and later became a member of Kirkwood United Methodist Church after moving to Kirkwood.

Survivors include one daughter, Sue Allen and husband, Mike of Town and Country; two grandsons, Christopher Allen and wife, Tara of North Kansas City and Jeffrey Allen and wife, Robin of Zionsville, Indiana; four great-grandchildren, Taylor Allen, Grace Allen, William Allen, and Robert Allen; one step great-grandchild, Lucus Olden; and a son-in-law, Joe Hick of Columbia, South Carolina.

Her parents; one daughter, Pat Hick; one sister, Inez Sanders; and three brothers, Delmar Ahrens, Sheldon Ahrens, and Alden Ahrens also preceded her in death.
