Wife of 1) Erastus Hawes, and 2) Daniel McFarlin

"Died at her home in this village on Monday evening, Jan. 9, 1893 at 9:45, Mrs. Daniel McFarlan, aged sixty-seven years and eight months. Since her serious illness about three years ago, Mrs. McFarlan has been in poor health, though she has been able to be about the greater part of the time until within a few days before her death. Mrs. Abigail Faskit McFarlan was born in Stafford, Conn. in May 1825 and was married in that state in 1848 to Daniel McFarlan, where they resided until 1855 when they moved in Indiana. Twenty one years later they removed to Rochester and for the past eight years have been residents of this vicinity, the last five of which they have made their home in this village. She was the mother of nine children, eight of whom and a husband survive to mourn the loss of a kind wife and a loving mother. Funeral services were conducted at the house by Mr. W.M. Gillis on Wednesday afternoon. Those present at the funeral from away were Mr. and Mrs. Ed. McFarlan of Winona, Mr. and Mrs. Higbee and Mr. and Mrs. Fischer of Rochester."
