From Holland St. John - "Forrest (one source spelled his name with one "r") Lee Howell was the son of Bert and Elizabeth Mae (Jones)(Smith)(Cash) Howell and was born on September 12, 1908 in Idaho County, Idaho. He spent his early years near Kamiah, Lewis County, Idaho. The U S Census of 1920 records that he was living at home with his father and mother and was eleven years of age. Also living with them was his grandmother Evaline Jones, listed as being seventy-six years of age. She was the widow of Henry T. Jones of Posey County, Indiana (who was my grandfather Robert Duckworth Jones' younger brother). By 1930 the family had moved to the town of Grangeville, Idaho where his father was employed as a carpenter. Forrest was listed as being twenty-one years of age and his occupation as "laborer, odd jobs." Also living with the family were two boarders. His grandmother had passed away and was no longer living with them. Forrest married Louisa Marotz on March 19, 1942 at Idaho Falls, Bonneville County, Idaho. No further information had been found concerning Forrest. Whether he and Louisa had children and where he lived during his adult life is yet to be discovered. However it is known that he passed away in the city of Seattle, King County, Washington on October 30, 1991. Several family trees in Ancestry.com have indicated that his remains were returned to Idaho and he is interred in the Prairie View Cemetery located in Grangeville, Idaho where both his father and mother are buried. However, his gravesite had not been identified."
