Noah Snyder, one of the leading citizens of Upper Turkeyfoot township, died on Saturday from typhoid fever, aged about sixty-two years. He had been sick for about two weeks and his death was not unexpected, since his disease took on a fatal aspect from the start. His wife is critically ill with the same disease. Two of Mr. Snyder's children, a son and a daughter, have died from typhoid fever within the past few weeks. The daughter, who was married and lived in Rockwood, was first to contract the disease and her brother went to her home to assist in nursing her. After her death the son returned to his home and soon thereafter he was stricken.
