Jeannette was born to Swan and Karen (Hilmoe) Anderson. She was educated at Montrose and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Jeannette completed a two-year education course at Augustana college and spent three years teaching at Mount Pleasant Rural School east of Sioux Falls.

In December of 1922, Jeannette married Myron F. Graham; and, the couple farmed northeast of Beresford, South Dakota. she spent more than sixty years residing in Lincoln County, South Dakota. Jeannette was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed creative writing and won a number of writing contests. A number of Jeannette's articles were published in local magazines and newspapers.

Jeannette died at the Bethesda Nursing Home in Beresford, South Dakota. She was survived by three sons, one daughter, thirteen grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren. Jeannette was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four sisters, and five brothers.
