Came to Sioux Falls, 46 Years Ago-Farmed at Montrose-Retired Nine Years Ago

-Swen S. Anderson, 74 years old, who came to Sioux Falls 46 years ago, died at 12:30 o'clock last night at this home, 1714 West Ninth st. Mr. Anderson was born in Norway in 1850. After his residence here he moved to Montrose, where he farmed extensively for 14 years, and retired nine years ago, making his home here. He is survived by his wife, three sons, Albert E. Anderson, Minneapolis, George, Montrose, and John O. Anderson, city; five daughters, Mrs. Charles Shisler, Kansas City, Mrs. Myron Graham, Mrs. Willis Graham, Beresford, Mrs. C.C. Brandt and Mrs. G. C. Wells, city; besides 19 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A son, Adolph Julius, and a daughter Margaret, died several years ago. The remains were removed to the Banton-Peterson Funeral Home awaiting arrangements for the funeral, The time of the services will be decided upon the word from Rev. H. J. Glenn, who is on his vacation at Bemidji, Minn., and the place will be the First Lutheran church. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
