Millicent Jane "Millie" Schnebly, 72, of Silver Lake, died Oct. 31, 1999, at St. John Medical Center.
She was born April 1, 1927, in Payson, Utah, to Joseph and Lulu Berkhimer, and was raised in Los Angeles. She graduated from Luther Burbank High School in Highland Park and attended Los Angeles Business College for three years.
She and Richard T. Schnebly were married Feb. 5, 1960, in Rosarita Beach, Mexico, and moved to the local area in March 1961.
Mrs. Schnebly worked for Weyerhaeuser Co. as supervisor of invoicing for 23 years, retiring in May 1985.
She was an avid collector of John Wayne memorabilia and loved spending time with her grandchildren, painting with her friends, traveling and taking leisurely drives.
Survivors include her husband, Richard T. Schnebly, at home; two sons, Rogue Schnebly of Castle Rock and Burt Schnebly of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; a daughter Debra Edenshaw of Rochester, Wash.; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
No services will be held at the request of Mrs. Schnebly. Private interment will be held at Silver Lake Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Southwest Washington Chapter, 192 Nickerson St., Auite 100, Seattle, WA 98109.
