Doris Helen Voss, age 56 of Lead, died Monday at St Joseph's Hospital in Deadwood after a brief illness.

 

She was born December 28, 1923, at Blunt SD to William James and Hattie Ella (Jane) Hillmer.

 

She attended schools in Blunt graduating from schools there.

 

On May 19, 1944, she was married in Newcastle WY to Marvin P Voss. The couple made their home in Long Beach CA, Pierre Laramie WY, and lived in the Lead-Deadwood area.

 

She was a part-time employee at the 76 Motel in Deadwood and was a member of Assembly of God Church where she taught Sunday School.

 

Surviving are her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Gary (Delores) Starakman, Mrs. Jimmie (Patty) Derby, Mrs. Roger (Linda) Hannah and at home a daughter Robyn and son Ray; nine grandchildren; four brothers and five sisters.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents.

 

Interment Black Hills National Cemetery
