Michael Gill, age 53, of Stratford, died suddenly at his home on Saturday, May 28, 2011. Michael was born in Bridgeport, one of eleven children born to Eleanor O'Neill Gill and the late William Gill, Sr. He was employed as a revenue clerk with the Greater Bridgeport Transit Authority. Michael had an unwavering allegiance to the NY Mets in spite of his six brothers' devotion to the Boston Red Sox. He was a wonderful and caring uncle to his nieces and nephews. He is survived by his beloved mother, Eleanor O'Neill Gill of Stratford; three loving sisters, Kathleen Neumann and Julanne Gill of Stratford' and Mary Helen Halligan and her husband James of Seymour; six loving brothers, William Gill, Jr. and his wife Laurene of Madison, Richard Gill and his wife Karen of Naugatuck, Francis "Frank" Gill and his wife Karen of Stratford, James Gill and his wife Sandra of Shelton, Charles Gill and his wife Kate of Stratford and Joseph Gill and his wife Denise of Stratford; twenty-two nieces and nephews; two great-nephews; one great-niece; and many cousins. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. DIRECTLY at St. James Church with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
