Henry Jason Austin was born 2 November 1888 in Lincoln County, Kentucky. He was married in Lincoln County on 2 November 1912 to Elizabeth Pearl Wall who was 18 years of age. Elizabeth, the daughter of William and Sarah Jane (Sluder) Wall, was born in 1894 in Lincoln County, as were her parents. Jason, as he was known, worked as a "railroader" for the Southern Railway System. Elizabeth died 26 August 1947 in Lincoln County, and is buried in Estes Cemetery, New Salem Road, Lincoln County. I last talked to Jason on Labor Day 1971. He died at the McDowell Hospital in Danville, Boyle County, Kentucky, on 12 August 1972 and is buried in Estes Cemetery.
