Miss Eleanor (Ella) Boester, was born in Hicksville, Ohio, the daughter of Henry and Mary Strubing Boester. She graduated from Hicksville High School in 1901 and taught school in Hicksville. She later moved to Cleveland where she was employed as a secretary in the school system but returned to Hicksville in 1923 were she remained until her death. She remained in the family home which she shared with her mother and brother until their deaths.
