LEESVILLE (Spl.) — Funeral services for Hymon [sic Hyman] Self, 79, of Leesville were to be held at 2 p.m. today in the Mt. Zion Pentecostal church on Belview road with Rev. Pratt McCloud and Rev. William Owens officiating.

Burial was to be in the Castor cemetery under direction of Hixson funeral home.

Mr. Self died at 9 a.m. Sunday in the War Memorial hospital after a long illness. He was a former lumberman and had been a member of the Masons for 49 years.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Hattie Goings Self of Leesville; four sons, Carl and Harry Self, both of Pasadena, Texas, Rev. Clyde Self of Shreveport and Hymon Self Jr. of Leesville; three daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Parker, Mrs. Mary Lee Gorum and Mrs. Rita Faye Rector, all of Leesville; two brothers, Jim Self of Lake Charles and Revere Self of Leesville; six sisters, Mrs. Joe Bolgiano, Mrs. Boone Rowzee, Mrs. T. K. Harvey, Mrs. Jim Legg and Mrs. Albert Dunn, all of Leesville, and Mrs. Henry Snell of Hornbeck; 16 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
