Obituary
Funneral services will be held from Calvary Lutheran Church for Knut E. Dokken pioneer of the north Thunder Hawk area.
He died at Five Counties hospital at 6 am. Jan. 26th.He had been in failing health for a month and seriously ill one week.Death was due to infimities of age.
Rev. Paul H. Hanson,pastor of Calvary Lutheran Church officiated at the services.Mrs. Clarence Swanson was the soloist.
Pall bearers chosen from among close friends of the family were John Ellison,Clarence Swanson,Vernon Swanson,Gordon Ericcson,Marvin Ericcsonand Otis Anderson.
Born at Kensett Ia.,Nov.10 1880,Mr. Dokken received his education and grew to young manhood at that place.He farmed in Iowa for a time.There he was married in 1909 to Mary Banken.They established there home in Iowa.In 1921 he brought his family to the Hanna district in Sioux County.He also lived in Oregon before making his home in Lemmon.
Surviving are a son,Orin G. Dokken of Lemmon,two sisters,Mrs.Clara Cooper of Kenstt, Iowa and Mrs. Ole Olson of Eagle Grove.
