Mrs. Sarah Chamberlain of Shirleysburg, R.D. formerly of Saltillo, died Sunday, September 2, 1973, at 11:55 p.m., in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon, where she had been a patient since August 23.

Aged 86 years, she was born July 28, 1887 in Saltillo, a daughter of Walter and Amanda (Kough) Cornelius. She was united in marriage with Clarence Chamberlain on May 14, 1908 at Boswell. Mr. Chamberlain died in 1953.

She is survived by a son, Orlando Chamberlain, Saltillo; daughter, Mrs. Ora McMullen, Shirleysburg, with whom she made her home, three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Lois Park, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Chamberlain was a member of the Saltillo United Methodist Church and belonged to the Women's Society of Christian Service of the church. The funeral service will take place Thursday, September 6, at 2 p.m., from the McClain Funeral Home in Cassville with the Rev. Theodore Bowers officiating. Interment will be made in the Saltillo Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 2 p.m., Wednesday till the hour of the service on Thursday.
