"MRS. CASTEEL DEAD: Mrs Jennie Casteel, wife of W.D. Casteel, died last Monday morning, November 17th, 1913, at five o'clock, in Osawatomie, aged 45 years, 4 months and 9 days.
Jennie Tumbleson was born in Marsailles, Illinois, on July 8, 1868, and when yet a child moved with her parents to Missouri. There they lived for about ten years, coming to Kansas and settling in Louisburg, residing here until her death. When a girl in her teens she was converted and united with the Louisburg Baptist Church, continuing always to live a fatihful Christain life. On September 10, 1889, she was married to W.D. Casteel. To this union three children were born. Two sons died in infancy and Anna is at home with the sorrowing husband. Besides the husband and daughter, two sisters survive to mourn her departure--Mrs. Ida May Kirk, of Kansas City and Mrs. Anua [sic] Hammond, of Somerset. The remains were brought home Monday.
At the funeral services held at the Baptist church, yesterday morning at ten o'clock, conducted by Rev. Sherrman Moore, the choir sang three favorite songs--Asleep in Jesus, Nearer My God to Thee, and Saved by Grace. Interment was in Louisburg cemetery."
