From her obituary: "EVA GODDARD POLLOCK "A memorial service in Painesville is pending for Eva Goddard Pollack, 89, a former secretary, of Ft. Myers, Fla. "Mrs. Pollock died Aug. 12 at Myerlee Manor in Ft. Myers. "Born April 12, 1905 in Madison, Ohio, she was a life-long Painesville resident before moving to Florida in 1987. "She was a graduate of Madison High School. She was a long-time member of First Church, Congregational, in Painesville. She was a member of Emblem Club (Elks) and the Polio Foundation. She was employed as a secretary in Lake County Health Department in the 1940's. "Survivors are her husband, J. Frank Pollock of Ft. Myers; daughter, Nancy G. Yarger of Tipp City; stepson, John C. Pollock of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. "Her first husband, Arthur H. Goddard, died in 1932. Her parents, three sisters and four brothers are also deceased. "There will be no visiation. Burial will be in Unionville Cemetery in Unionville. Local arrangements are being handled by the Behm Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison. The family suggests contributions to the First Church, Congregational, 22 Liberty Street, Painesville, 44077, or The Diabetes Association of Greater Cleveland, 3601 S. Green Road, Suite 100, Cleveland, 44122."
