Mr. Duchesne died Thursday, January 23, 1997 at Citizens Medical Center in Columbia after an extended illness.
Mr. Duchesne was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church and a United States Army Veteran, having served in World War II.
Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Letha Lee Duchesne of Columbia; eight daughters, Ann Smith of West Monroe, Mary Gilley of Swartz, Zelda Moore of Columbia, Ernesta McClanahan of Columbia, Peggy Carson of Natchitoches, Rhonda Washam of Columbia, and Wanda Blackmon, of Columbia; one brother, Roe Duchesne of Columbia; two sisters, Gladys Dupree of Monroe and Lillie Hadden of Salt Lake City, Utah; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons: Robert Smith, John Smith, Gary Gilley, Chris Moore, Edge Crum, Ryan McClanahan, Matthew Carson, Ben Washam, and Honi-Kea Blackmon.
