Funeral services for Zelda Lane Duchesne Moore, 73 of Hebert will be held 10 AM Tuesday January 10, 2023, from the sanctuary of Bethany Baptist Church at Hebert. Interment will follow in the Bethany Cemetery under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia. The Moore Family will host visitation at the church on Monday, January 9,2023 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Zelda Duchesne Moore was born on March 11,1949 at Columbia, LA to the union of her parents, the late Earnest Duchesne and Letha Cassie Lee Duchesne. She passed from this life on Saturday, January 7,2023 at her residence at Hebert following an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband James Kenneth Moore, her parents and two sisters, Linda Meredith and Ann Smith.
Zelda was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and sister. She was a wonderful aunt to her many nieces and nephews.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Chris Moore (Cherie) of Columbia; her grandchildren, Sophia Ratcliff (Brady) of Winnsboro. who has been her caregiver for the last seven months, Christen Moore (Paul) and her mother Carla, Kaleb and Kayleigh Moore and their mother Rene; her beloved sisters, Mary Gilley, Ernesta Lee McClanahan, Phyllis Maxwell, Peggy Aycock, Rhonda Washam and Wanda Blackmon.
Serving as pallbearers will be Edge Crum, Ryan McClanahan, Brady Ratcliff, Paul Brasseaux, Dee Lovelady and Austin Strahan.
