Sophronia Wise Cone was born September 19, 1821 in Bulloch County, Georgia, the daughter of John Wise and Rachel Jones Wise. She was the second wife of Aaron Cone, Jr. They married on February 14, 1839, and they had seven children: Ann Elizabeth Cone Lanier, Sarah Jane Cone, Mary Elizabeth Cone, John William Cone, Ann Sophronia Cone, James Basil Cone, and William Henry Cone. She also had a step-son Robert W. Cone. Sophronia died at age 70 on October 23, 1891 in Bulloch County and is buried at Old Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery.
