Josephine Stauber Thiemann was born September 10, 1887 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio to Christian Stauber and Ida M. Albrecht Stauber Haglage. Her heritage was German. Josephine's father was Catholic, and her mother was Protestant (German Reform Church/United Church of Christ). She had four siblings and five half-siblings. About 1907 she married Henry Thiemann, and they were the parents of Harry and Wilbur Thiemann. Josephine died at age 71. She is buried at the Vine Street Hill Cemetery (formerly Carthage Road Cemetery started by the German Reform Church) in Cincinnati, next to her mother.
