OBIT: Mrs. Mackie Glover Jones, 83, of Selma died Monday at 11:50 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Vernona Smith,with whom she resided. The funeral service will be conducted at Yelverton Grove Free Will Baptist Church at 3 o'clock Wed afternoon with interment following in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the service. Bailey Funeral Home in Selma is handling the arrangements. Surviving are 3 daughters, Mrs. Callie Jones of Smithfield, Mrs. J. H. House of Pine Level, and Mrs. Vernona Smith of Selma; one son, Leamon F. Jones of Wilson; 3 sisters, Mrs. Lula Ferrell and Mrs. Robey Stanley of Route 1, Smithfield, & Mrs. Andrew Brown of Smithfield; 1 brother, Will Glover of Selma; 4 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
