RED BAY, Ala. - Elvie Orrick Morrow, 89, formerly of Rogersville, Ala., died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006, at the Shoals Hospital. She was born May 6, 1917, in Red Bay to Rob and Annie Orrick. She was a retired employee of Blue Bell and a member of the First Baptist Church in Rogersville.
Survivors include one daughter, Bettie Michael of Rogersville; one son, Larry Morrow and wife, Judy, of Atlanta, Ga.; five grandchildren, David Michael and wife, Christina, of Littleville, Ala., Scotty Michael and wife, Alisha, of Killen, Ala., Lee Barclay and husband, Jeff, of Rogersville, and Beth Montgomery and husband, David, and Angela Nall and husband, Craig, all of Atlanta; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Perry J. Orrick of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Cleo Weaver of Cherokee, Ala., and Carolyn Stanford of Tupelo; a sister-in-law, Marion Orrick of Red Bay; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd 'Buddy' Morrow; and her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Bro. Larry Hill and Bro. Paul Cummings officiating. Deaton Funeral Home of Red Bay is in charge of the arrangements.
