Buried in the DeBusk Cemetery, Lee County, Virginia. He was christened a methodist but joined the Missionary Baptist Church in 1851. The 1860 Lee County, Virginia census list him as the 27 year old husband of Emaline DeBusk. The 1870 Lee County, Virginia census lists him as the 37 year old husband of Eunice DeBusk.

The year of birth for both was also listed. Married by John E. Harris. Palser DeBusk's bible has 27 November 1859 while the record in Washington County, Virginia has 24 December 1859.
