Mary was the d/o Spencer Blankenship & Mariah Scoggins. William & Mary married in Rutherford NC, & moved to Poke Co. TN, where they lived on the Chattahooche River & built their first home at the foot of the Great Smoky Mountains. Their first child, Gideon, was born there and the rest of the children were born after the wagon train move in 1857,to Solo, Texas Co. Mo. Those who were born in Solo were Spencer Baron (Dock), Little Joe, Alfred, Edward (Ed), Sarah Alice, & Ada Mae. William & Mary's fathers (Philip Harmon & Spencer Blankenship) were the chosen wagon Masters of a 16 wagon train going to south Mo. [Info from Diana #47109249]
