A cattleman and retired from Kaiser Aluminum with more than 30 years of service, he died Saturday, May 21, 2011, at his home in Grosse Tete surrounded by family. He was 92 and a native of Brusly-Cutoff. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran who served in the 85th Squadron - 79th Group in World War II. Visiting at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Grosse Tete, on Tuesday, May 24, from 8:30 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Sanjay. Interment in Grace Memorial Park. Survived by his wife, Lela Blanchard Comeaux; five daughters, Sue Druilhet and husband Jerry, Raye Nobles and husband Paul, Teedy Lichon, Lela "Tootie" Perry and husband Gerard "Cop," and Michelle Comeaux; two sons, Kenny Comeaux and wife Connie, and David Comeaux and wife Debbie; sister, Bell Comeaux; 12 grandchildren, Tracey, Chris, Kim, Callie, Doug, Aimee, Erin, Matthew, Amanda, Chelsea, Meghan and Brittany; and 18 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Sydney, Joshua, Braylon, Hunter, Luke, Jackson, Stella, Sophia, Brooke, Breanna, Kade, Kenley, Jarrod, Paige, Cameron, Dylan and Landyn. Preceded in death by his parents, Alcee and Laura Comeaux; granddaughter, Kaley Distefano; grandson, Kevin Comeaux; six sisters, Annona "Coo Coo" Banker, Laura Lee "Lee Lee" Comeaux, Stenie Hennigan, Ella Dupont, Bernice "Beecy" Barrios and Harriet "Yetty" Dean; and brother, Verner Comeaux. Pallbearers will be Chris Comeaux, Randall "Ouda" David, Matthew Perry, Carey Boone, Braden Jones, Doug DeVaux and Tres Allain. Honorary pallbearer is Gerard "Cop" Perry. He was a devoted family man with a special interest in his land and cattle. Special thanks to Erin Perry and Michelle Comeaux for their loving care. Special thanks also to Comfort Care Hospice and his sitters, JoAnna Thymes, Wanda and Sharanda Littles, and Dayna Talbot from Maringouin Medical.
