KANNAPOLIS -- Rollins R. (Dock) Adams, 91, of 205 Heintz Ave., died Thursday, January 31, 2002, at the V.A. Hospital in Asheville.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel in Kannapolis. The Rev. Rick Chaballa will officiate. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m. today at Whitley's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home.
Born June 11, 1910, in Cherokee County, he was the son of the late Elwood and Hattie Lunsford Adams. He was retired from Cannon Mills Plant Four. He was a veteran of World War II in the U.S. Army and was a member of the DAV.
He was preceded in death by his wife Parrie Beatrice Adams, who died in May of 1994.
Survivors include a daughter, Martha Erwin of Kannapolis; four grandchildren, Mrs. James (Carol) Ingram, Mike Erwin, Mrs. Bill (Sharon) Seaford and Mrs. Jeff (Lorie) Stancil; one sister, Mattie O'Berry of Texas; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
