DURRANT, Minnie Peterson -- Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and friend, Minnie Peterson Durrant, age 88, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 1995 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Delila (Walter) Mayhew in Salt Lake City. She was born November 5, 1906 in Cumberland, Wyoming, the daughter of James Evans and Salina "Kitty" (Martin) Peterson. She married Clifton Durrant of Morgan, Utah on December 4, 1925. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on February 23, 1957. Long time resident of Evanston, active in the LDS Church Primary and visiting teacher. "Thus passed a valiant daughter of our Father-in-Heaven." Survived by six children, Delila (Walter) Mayhew, Salt Lake City; Martin (Linda) Durrant, Chandler, Arizona; Robert (Linda Jo) Durrant, Evanston, Wyoming; Judy (Lyle) Coffey, Ogden; Richard (Joyce) Durrant, West Valley City; Mary (David) Richins, Henefer; four sisters, Vera Roberts, Rock Springs, Wyoming; Thelma (Milt) Minor and Ann Allred, both Nampa, Idaho; June Lee, Bountiful; 39 grandchildren and 63 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and children, Gerald H., Clifton James, Janette Durrant Clark; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild and one sister, Nettie Robison and her parents. Funeral services will be in the Evanston LDS Fourth Ward Chapel on Saturday at 1 p.m. Friends may call at the Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Evanston Cemetery.
