Selina "Kitty" was born in the little farming community of South Normington, England. She kept a clean, orderly home and expected everyone to obey the rules. Kitty was a little superstitious. My mother remembers as a young girl showing her grandma Kitty the new shoes her mother had just purchased for her. She put them on grandma Kitty's kitchen table and Kitty swept her arm across the table and exclaimed with real emotion, "Don't you know that having shoes on a table will bring you bad luck?" Kitty was strict, but her husband James was not. He lavished love onto his 6 daughters and they loved their daddy. Kitty and James loved each other and left quite a legacy as their children and grandchildren continue to honor them.

Selina's funeral service was held at the L.D.S. Fourth Ward Chapel at 1:00 P.M. in Evanston, Wyoming. Services were conducted by Bishop A. G. Spencer. She was buried in the Evanston City Cemetery. According to the Evanston City Cemetery records: burial date 2-16-1962; aged 80; cause/non comm.
