Etta M. Beebe was born on December 27, 1867 and died at 18 days old on January 14, 1868 in Arbela Township in Tuscola County, Michigan.

Etta was the second daughter born to Francis M. Beebe and Fannie Hadstate.

Francis and Fannie later lost another infant daughter, Blanche, in December 1870 (see Francis' page for further info).

Etta's headstone is very worn and very difficult to read, but I traced the info with my fingers and determined the date of her death and age which is listed as 18 days old on the headstone.

She is buried next to her sister, Blanche who died in 1870, and with other Beebe family members in Section D, Lot 73. This is based not only on their headstones, but also per cemetery records.

Buried in the Lot are Etta's parents, sister, and grandparents, Clinton Henry Beebe and Caroline Warner.

The births and deaths of the two little Beebe daughters is listed in the Perry Archives and is also mentioned on page 317 of book the book, "Portrait and biographical record of Genesee, Lapeer and Tuscola counties ..." by Chapman Brothers, Chicago which specifically indicates that Francis and Fannie had had three daughters by c1892 but that two of the girls, Etta M. and Blanche, had died as infants.

Only one daughter was still living when the book was published (c1892) and that was their oldest daughter, Carrie M. born in 1866. In about 1885, Carrie married John Venest and they moved to Bayfield, Wisconsin. That is the last we know of them.

Francis and Fannie Beebe had one more adopted daughter that lived to adulthood and that was Rose born in 1896 and died 1939. Rose married Deforest Harold Haskell; both are buried in Section 1, Lot 100, Grave 10 (in the middle of the section abt 4 rows back from road), at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint, Michigan. *Rose's birth parents were both born in England. She was adopted by Francis and Fannie sometime after the 1900 census but before the 1910 census.
