Elmer Dowden 96, of Bonita Springs, FL (formerly of Indianapolis) passed away peacefully on May 30, 2005. He was born to James and Miranda Dowden in Scotland, IN.
He was the owner of Dowden Roofing and Insulation Co. in Indianapolis. He was a member of Ancient Landmarks Masonic Lodge, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, and Murat Shrine.
Wife Pearl Dowden preceded him in death. Survivors include his children, Daniel L. Dowden and Ruth Anne McMath; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 3, at Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center Washington Park East. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, at the funeral center. Entombment will be at Washington Park East Cemetery.
